Morgan was featured in a short film that was about AIDS education and prevention. Safe Sex for Men and Women. Morgan contributed a part of her income for the American Foundation for AIDS Research. Morgan is a member of the Entertainment Industry AIDS Task Force. Morgan was the primary driver behind numerous fund-raising efforts for this disease. She also addressed the Congressional special committee that focused on AIDS education. She sits on the Board of Governors of APLA. C. Everett Koop, the former surgeon general of Canada, has asked her to take over his duties on occasions at AIDS associated events. She also hosted the AIDS Awareness Special along with Steve Bell. Ted Koppell interviewed Morgan twice on Nightline on AIDS. Morgan was nominated to win an Emmy for the special Murphy Brown episode written by Diane English for her. In the spring she co-starred with Joan Rivers in ABC television's Your Money or Your Wife. She then began her season of summer with Murder At The PTA Luncheon which was produced by Von Zerneck/Sertner. It also included Cindy Williams and Marla gibbs. The second part of the project took Morgan to Luxembourg and she was a part of the cast in the roles of Sherlock Holmes and the Leading Lady in Harmony Gold's production. Christopher Lee and Patrick McNee were also in the show. Morgan played the protagonist in a thriller about psychological issues that was solely produced for the USA Network. It received one of the best ratings ever recorded by the network.
